Natural History of the Berkshires -- Maps

Research hint #1: Not all maps are created equal, and each one can tell you something different.  Pay attention to the types, scales, orientation, and keys.

Research hint #2: Work backwards, from present to past, to trace the history of your site.  Who owned the land?  Who were the neighbors?  Can you tell how the land was used?
