MSS#: MC 63
Processed and guide written by: Katherine Saxon (Class of 2003), August 2001; edited by S. Kennick Brown and Elizabeth O'Grady, July 2002
Total Volume: 21 cubic feet (8 record cartons, 1 manuscript box, 2 large shoeboxes, 12 large clamshell boxes, 4 oversize clamshell boxes)
Provenance: The Robert C. Suderburg Papers were donated to the Williams College Library by Prof. Suderburg in December 2000. Much organization of the materials had been accomplished by Elizabeth Suderburg prior to the collection's shipment to the Archives. An additional carton of material was added to the collection 8 February 2005. This addition is noted as an addendum to the collection.
Conservation: Material was rehoused in acidfree folders and boxes. Metal fasteners were removed and newspaper clippings photocopied onto acidfree paper. Photographs, programs, etc. were removed from albums and binders and rehoused in acidfree folders. Although reel-to-reel tapes had already been transferred to CD before the collection's transfer to the Archives, the Suderburg Papers contain both formats.
Copyright: Request for permission to publish material from the collection must be submitted in writing to the College Archivist.
