Volume: 21.75 linear feet (11 cartons, 1 legal size document case, 1 oversize flat box, 1 square clamshell box)
Provenance: The Richard A. Newhall Papers were processed from three separate accession numbers: 0-443, 0-398, and 92-079.1. The first (0-443), a collection of notes, correspondence, and diplomas was donated by Jane Lyons, Daniel Newhall, Norman H. Newhall, and Nancy Newhall in 1993. The second collection of material (92-079.1), containing correspondence with Edward A. Hoyt, a former pupil, as well as speeches and biographical materials, was donated by Hoyt in 1993 as well. The final item added to the collection was a coffee grinder (0-389), presented to Newhall by the class of 1929.
Conservation: Materials were rehoused in acid-free folders. Restrictions: none.
