Provenance: The Newborg Collection of
material relating to Abraham Lincoln was donated by the estate of Sidney
Newborg (Williams Class of 1904) in 1959. The Collection was originally cited as call number ZZ30 .N42.
Conservation: Several items, destined for
exhibit in the Williams College Museum of Art, were conserved in 2009. (See office files for listing.) This show, titled Lincoln to the Nth degree: the dissemination of Lincoln's image and
ideas in popular and fine art, ran March 2009 - June 2010.
