Introduction

MSS #: MC 65
Collection processed and guide authored by: S.K. Brown, July 2001

Volume: 2 boxes: .75 linear feet

Provenance: The Dee Papers were donated to the Williams College Libraries by Peter R. Bereskin in April 2001. Mr. Bereskin had discovered the material in an Arlington, Virginia basement years previously.

Conservation: The collection was found to be infested with mold upon its donation. Papers were placed in summer sunlight to halt mold growth, and pages were brushed clean as necessary. The highly acidic covers to Dee's notebooks were photocopied onto acidfree paper. In addition, fasteners which had rusted over the years were removed and plastic clips were substituted.

Copyright: Request for permission to publish material from the collection must be submitted in writing to the College Archivist.
