Series Descriptions

Series I: Correspondence has been arranged into two subseries: Subseries A. chronological, 1912-1935, and Subseries B. grouped by production in relaxed chronology, 1938-1969. Undated material difficult to place in context is located at the beginning of each month. Series I includes secondary materials relating to the organization's theatrical productions: itineraries, contracts, invoices, correspondence with alumni seeking advice and assistance, press releases, financial records, box office records, casting correspondence, contracts and insurance records, correspondence with costumers, literary agents, other amateur theatrical organizations, etc.

Series II: Production Materials include programs, reviews, newspaper clippings, schedules, "props" (properties) materials, set designs, costume design drawings and paintings, sound effects, cue sheets, technical drawings, playbills and scripts. Within a Lettersize and Oversize organization, materials are arranged alphabetically by title of production.

Series III: Photographs are also arranged alphabetically by title of production. Prints are primarily in black and white.

Series IV: Miscellaneous is arranged alphabetically by folder title or type of material. Included are ledgers, constitution and by-laws, etc.
