Provenance: The Dudley Bahlman Papers were donated to the Williams College Library in 2001 by gift of Dusty Bahlman, son of Dudley W.R. Bahlman. The correspondence has been arranged in chronological order, although Bahlman had originally separated and organized those letters he wrote to his mother and the letters pertaining to the publication of The Diary of Sir Edward Hamilton.

Conservation: Material was rehoused in acid-free folders and boxes. Metal fasteners were removed and newspaper clippings were photocopied onto acid-free paper. The one photograph was wrapped in an acid free covering.
