Series IX.
  Armstrong Family Papers 1860-1904, comprise the correspondence of Samuel's siblings and their families regarding family matters, health and finances. In addition to routine correspondence, the Richard Baxter Armstrong family papers include correspondence and notes to his son, Richard, regarding the transfer of a family heirloom, a shark's tooth cane. The papers of the William Nevins Armstrong family include correspondence regarding the stone sent from Hawaii to mark the grave of Samuel Armstrong and documents relating to William's position as Commissioner of Railroads.
