Scope and Content
The Williams College Executive Program Records, 1956-1995 document the life of this summer program at Williams College from its inception in 1956 to its termination in 1995. Reflected concurrently is the interest of American businesses in exposing executives to the liberal arts and in the development of different types of management skills. The Records are divided into five series:

ALUMNI ADVISORY BOARD AND STAFF MEETINGS, 1984-1994, comprises a variety of materials that were collected and discussed by Program staff and/or the Alumni Advisory Board that was established in 1984. These include agendas, meeting minutes, lists of Board members and participants, class schedules and syllabi, and various statistics. Several reports and mailings, prompted by the Alumni Advisory Board, are included in Series IV.
PUBLICATIONS, 1957-1995, contains a nearly complete run of Program brochures, as well as a number of rosters, yearbooks, and articles about the program which appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines. Newsletters, which were composed by the Director as letters to alumni, are located in Series IV.
REGISTRATION PACKETS, 1962-1969, presents sample packets such as would have been received by participants in these early years. Included are calendars, participants lists, course syllabi and reading lists, schedules, etc.
CHRONOLOGICAL FILES, 1956-1995, comprises sundry files concerning statistics, program evaluation, development and marketing, etc. These files are arranged chronologically.
PHOTOGRAPHS, 1963-1994, n.d. contains portraits and informal photographs of Program faculty and participants. Additional images can be found in Series II's publications.
