Provenance: The Harry A. Garfield Papers and records of other past college presidents were transferred to the Archives in 1994. These records had been stored in several locations on campus. A survey and initial appraisal of the presidents' papers were conducted at the time of transfer and a database was created to organize the survey data.
Conservation: Material has been rehoused in acid-free folders and boxes. Metal fasteners and rubber bands have been removed and newspaper clippings have been copied on acid-free paper. Oversized material has been flattened and removed to an oversize acid-free box. Photographs have been removed and added to the Archives' photograph collection. College publications were also removed and added to the Archives' collection.
